Two are past, Three to go

As I initiate this blog, I have completed the first two of the five major events of this summer renewal program. In mid-May I travelled to Atlanta for the "Festival of Homiletics." This annual event offers some of the premiere preachers and teachers of preaching from around the country (and the world.) It was a great week just soaking up the wisdom and passion of the preachers and the 1700 pastors who were gathered there.

The first week of June Marcia, Christa and I travelled to Windward Sailing School on Amelia Island, Florida. During the week we completed two sailing courses: "Basic Keelboat" and "Coastal Cruising." We learned a lot and had a ball doing so. We now have our appetites wetted for more sailing opportunities.

On Friday, June 19, Marcia and I will set forth on the biggest event of the summer. We will travel to England, Scotland and Ireland for 15 days. In addition to touring the sites, we will spend 7 days hiking in south-west Ireland, the Ring of Kerry. More posts and pictures will be forthcoming.
